Welcome to my website! My name is Alanna and I am a riding instructor based in the Walla Walla Valley of Washington State.
A little glimpse into what I offer:
- Seven years of experience teaching students from six to 60 in the Walla Walla Valley and Inland Empire Region.
- Certified ‘H-B’, Advanced Level Horsemanship through USPC
- SafeSport Certified
- Heat Illness and Concussion Trained
- Eventing Training Coach. Starter through Training level.
- Show Jumping Coach
- Classical Dressage training principals. Starter through CCI 4*.
- 10 years of experience competing in various levels of two and three Day Eventing competitions
- 20 years specializing in English riding disciplines
Services
One Hour Riding Lesson

For my established students. Dynamic warm up of horse and rider leading to main lesson.
Flat, over fences, basics of trail, general riding.
Beginner, intermediate, advanced in flat, or over fences.
Discount for active/current USPC members.
Lessons are currently being hosted at Red Barn Stables in Walla Walla.
Consultation / First Lesson

Getting-to-know session: Includes tack fit check, horse condition/fitness assessment, structure of lessons plan, assessment of horse and rider team under saddle. Tends to be longer than an hour.
Traveling to Your Place

Rehabilitation & Conditioning
$40 | More information:
30 minute hands-on sessions with the owner. Month to month plans available.
Rehabilitation Plans: Slow structured recovery from lameness, & soft tissue injuries, working alongside owner, veterinarian approval, and specialists. Ground work focused.
Conditioning Plans: Structured plans for conditioning horses for fitness goals. Ex: ground zero to average fitness (4-6 weeks), average fitness to Novice Level Eventing (6-8 weeks). Ground work and riding focused. Structured for rider’s availability and goals.
General Longing.
Show Coaching
$50/day + Miles | More information:
Some traveling coaching to regional shows is available for students. I prefer to build a working relationship with all of my students before traveling to coach them in a new area.
Eventing / Cross Country Jumping Lesson
$75 | More information:
Tend to be over an hour in length. Must have lessoned with me previously and recently over fences in the arena to be considered, or a certificate D-2 Eventing in USPC with an appropriate mount. Must have ASTM body protector vest and protective boots for mount.
I do not have lesson horses available at this time. Stay tuned! This is a future goal of mine.
